At EccoFreight we support the SDGs

Last Sunday, September 25, the 7th anniversary of the approval of the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was celebrated.

Aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations and adhered to the Spanish Network of the Global Compact, at EccoFreight we are proud to contribute to the following 10 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):


01: End of poverty

En EccoFreight We not only promote care for the environment but also care for people. We are fully aware of and committed to social action in the most disadvantaged areas, mainly with school-age children, such as, for example, the dining scholarships with which we ensure that children between 3 and 12 years old can access at least one meal. balanced daily.

02: Zero Hunger

Through the NGO Olvidados, we contribute to trying to alleviate the situation of disadvantaged families who lack the resources to buy and acquire food, as well as other essential products.

Every month they try to distribute 40 tons of food through the three distribution centers that the NGO has. Monthly, an equitable distribution is guaranteed to more than 2.000 people.

03: Health and Wellbeing

At EccoFreight we guarantee the health and safety of our entire workforce. To achieve this we have set several objectives on which we express our commitments, complying with all regulations relating to Occupational Risk Prevention as the minimum legal reference.

04: Quality Education

Continuous employee training is something that at EccoFreight we have very integrated into our policy. Annually we analyze training needs with which we prepare a specific training calendar that is developed during the course of the year.

05: Gender equality

In addition to having an Equality Manager, in our Equality Plan we establish different actions so that all areas of the company ensure compliance with equal treatment and opportunities.

It should be noted that EccoFreight's current workforce is made up of 68% women and 32% men. Among all of them, there are 8 workers with a nationality other than Spanish.

08: Decent work and economic growth

At EccoFreight we consider our suppliers as an essential element in achieving the objectives of growth, quality, excellence and customer satisfaction. At all times, we establish relationships with them based on trust and mutual benefit.

Through our CSR policy we show the unavoidable commitment to generating a positive impact on all interest groups, as well as contributing to the well-being of our closest environment.

09: Industry, innovation and infrastructure

The quality of service, the minimization of environmental impact and the validity of health and safety is everyone's responsibility, which is why each worker in the company is committed to complying with and maintaining the Quality, Environment and Health and Safety Management system. in Work based on ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO14065 and ISO45001 standards.

In the 2020-2021 cycle we developed a continuous improvement program for all processes that take place within the company.

10: Reduction of inequalities

One of the basic pillars of EccoFreight is respect for all people regardless of their gender, race, culture, disability, nationality, age, religion, identity or sexual orientation.

As our human capital is the most important thing, at EccoFreight we maintain a positive work context in which both differences and similarities are valued, developing the potential of each person, thus maximizing their contribution to the company's objectives.

12: Responsible production and consumption

Aware of responsible consumption, at EccoFreight we try every year to reduce our consumption per person and office as much as possible.

In accordance with the requirements established by the international standard UNE-EN ISO 14001, we have an environmental management system, as well as a manual of good environmental practices with which we demonstrate our daily commitment to the environment.

Finally, in 2021, we implemented work processes in all our offices in order to reduce paper consumption as much as possible.

13: Climate Action

Through the Environmental Management System, at EccoFreight we control the impact of our activities on the environment, seeking at all times to minimize their impact on it.

Using the ISO1406-1 standard, we calculate the carbon footprint of our three offices with which we extract results and conclusions, with which we subsequently develop reduction and compensation plans. An example of this is our EccoForest project with which we have already planted more than 3.000 native species in desertified areas of the country.

Each action in terms of sustainability brings us closer to the future we want both for ourselves and for future generations.
